Terms and Conditions
When you send a doll to Laura’s Doll Hospital:
-
You assert that the doll is your own or that you have permission from the owner to make decisions about the doll.
-
You acknowledge that some repairs or alterations may be irreversible.
-
You agree to pay the price quoted before the doll is returned.
-
You give permission for any personal information you share with me to be kept in a password-protected spreadsheet and stored in case of any future correspondence. You have the right to request that this information be deleted at any time.
-
You give permission for me to share photographs of restoration work on your doll on the website and social media pages. You are free to opt out of this at any time.
You can choose whether to deliver your doll to me in Southampton at a mutually convenient time, or to send him or her in the post. If you choose to post your doll, I recommend using a tracked service from Royal Mail. You will need to cover the cost of return postage, and you are responsible for providing the correct return address. Your doll will be returned via Royal Mail’s 48-hour tracked service, or Parcelforce for larger dolls, unless you request Special Delivery at additional cost. Your doll will be carefully wrapped but may be returned in a different box or packaging to what he or she arrived in. I cannot take responsibility if your doll is lost or damaged in the post.
Payment for repairs is due on collection, or when repairs are complete and the doll is ready to be posted back to you. I can send a photograph for your approval at this stage if you prefer. The doll will not be posted until payment is received in full.

You have the choice whether to send a bank transfer, to pay in cash or cheque on collection, or to use PayPal. Please note that, if using PayPal, you will need to cover their transfer fee in addition to the cost of repairs and any postage costs.
For repairs estimated at over £100, a 50% deposit will be due when the doll is posted or delivered to Laura’s Doll Hospital. Restoration work will not begin until the deposit is received. The remainder of the payment is due on collection, or when repairs are complete and the doll is ready to be returned. The doll will not be returned until payment is received in full.
If payment in full is not received one calendar month after repairs are complete, the doll will become the property of Laura’s Doll Hospital and may be offered for resale either publicly or privately to cover expenses accrued during the repair work.
Work that has been agreed upon and completed cannot be cancelled or refunded. In many cases, however, changes can be made, which may incur additional cost.

I have two cats on the premises. If you have a cat allergy, please let me know so that I can take precautions. If your allergy is severe, I do not recommend that you bring or send your dolls to me. I cannot take responsibility for any allergic reactions.
